چکیده

The performance of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) radar configurations of distributed antennas are analyzed. Statistical multiple input multiple output (MIMO) radar develops angular diversity to mitigate the impact of radar cross section fluctuations (RCF). The fluctuations can be modeled with scattering model consists of non-orthogonal waveforms for fast target or radar cross section fluctuations (RCF). Consider the performance of the statistical MIMO RADAR under the influence of the scattering model, which is commonly used in the radar community to model the distribution and the temporal correlation of the target radar cross section (RCS). In this project both target detection and direction of arrival estimation are considered.

Performance Evaluation of MIMO Cooperative Radar by Considering High Altitude Aeronautical Platforms

In this paper, an analysis of radar range and probability of detection by the use of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar with cooperative high altitude aeronautical platforms (HAAP) relay (which could operate at stratospheric altitudes) is presented. In this study, a method of cooperative diversity known as ampliy-and-forward (AF) is considered and a target fluctuation model (Swerling I...

Optimal Point Target Detection Using Digital Radars

This paper presents an overview of recent progress of radar for the image detection and characterization of targets. MIMO radar can improve on conventional target detection, parameter identification, and target classification performance via diversity of, among other things, its simultaneously transmitted waveforms. However, the mutual interference among the waveforms may lead to considerable p...

Fluctuating Target Detection in Low-grazing Angle with Mimo Radar

This paper focuses on the fluctuating target detection in low-grazing angle using Multiple-input Multiple-output (MIMO) radar systems with widely separated antennas, where the multipath effects are very abundant. The performance of detection can be improved via utilizing the multipath echoes, which is equivalent to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) by using multipath echoes. First, the re...

Implementation of Generalized Detector in MIMO Radar Systems

In this paper, we consider the problem of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radars employing the generalized detector (GD) based on the generalized approach to signal processing in noise (GASP) and using the space-time coding to achieve a desired diversity. To that end, we derive a suitable GD structure after briefly outlining the model of the received target return signal. GD performance i...

Power Allocation Strategies for MIMO Radar Waveform Design

The role of waveform design is central to effective radar resource management for state-of-the art radar systems. The waveform shape employed by any radar system has always been a key factor in determining the performance and application. The design of radar waveform to minimize mean square error (MSE) in estimating the target impulse response is based on power allocation using waterfilling. ...
